Ubud Bungalow

About the Project

Currently under construction, the Ubud Bungalow is a private jungle retreat designed to immerse residents in the sounds and sights of Ubud's forest. Structural teak frames and floor-to-ceiling glass walls form the project's architectural DNA.

The Challenge

Building in a dense jungle site with steep terrain while preserving the existing tree canopy and maintaining structural integrity during rainy season.

The Solution

We adopted an elevated platform structure using deep pile foundations, allowing the bungalow to sit above the forest floor and protect root systems of protected trees.
